HON. TAJUDEEN ADEKUNLE OBASA (Ph.D., MHR) RECEIVES AN HONORARY DOCTORATE DEGREE (Ph.D.) HONORIS CAUSA ON POLITICAL LEADERSHIP AT TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY OF THE AMERICAS, MIAMI FLORIDA, USA

Martin Luther King III once said, “It’s time for political leaders across the ideological spectrum to realize that, while partisanship is understandable, hyper-partisanship is destructive to our country. We need more visionary leaders who will earnestly strive for bipartisanship and finding policy solutions as a way forward.”

On this threshold, the Technological University of the Americas, Miami Florida, USA on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 awards the Honorable member representing Ojo Federal Constituency, Lagos State at the National Assembly, Honorable Tajudeen Adekunle Obasa (Ph.D., MHR).

Conferment of the honorary Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) Honoris Causa in Political Leadership was presented at the convocation award ceremony of the Technological University of the Americas Miami Florida, USA.

In the words of the Awardee, he said, “… higher education is perceived as a key to the comprehensive development of the continent in many areas. To this light, various governments have initiated several policies and models in attempting to build quality higher education for developing Africa’s human capital to positively contribute to the global challenges of the 21st century.”

According to the Vice-Chancellor, many postgraduates who achieve the higher level are often leaders, innovative thinkers, and achievers, and indeed entrepreneurs who use their skills, abilities, and academia to reach even higher standards and achievements.

Enthrallingly, the University described the moment as an opportunity that comes as a recognition of achievements, accomplishments and qualifications, and excellence in political leadership, humanitarian service, and public service in Nigeria.
