The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo paid a visit to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu in Abuja on Friday.
Kanu, who is currently in the custody of the Department of State Security Services, DSS was permitted to meet with Soludo and both men were pleased to meet each other.
The Anambra state governor wrote on Social Media; “I visited Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, (Friday, 13th May, 2022) to felicitate with him and he assured me that if the opportunity arises, he will be glad to personally broadcast to his followers to maintain the Peace.”
The visit is part of efforts to restore peace to the South-East region that has been rocked by violence in recent months.
