Sujimoto’s CEO, Sijibomi Ogundele, recently visited the Force CID office in Abuja with comprehensive evidence regarding the Leonardo project in Banana Island. He clarified that allegations of fraud and misrepresentation were unfounded, citing delays caused by external economic factors.
The project’s challenges include rising material costs, inflation, and currency fluctuations, resulting in a significant deficit. Ogundele emphasized transparency and integrity, stating that Sujimoto absorbed the loss rather than passing it to clients.
He highlighted Nigeria’s economic difficulties, including skyrocketing cement and steel prices, and container clearance costs. Despite these challenges, Sujimoto remains committed to completing the iconic LeonardoBySujimoto project, valued at over N180 billion.
