Alale of Akungba Welcomes DHDEI as NGO Empowers Akungba Youths

The Alale of Akungba Akoko HRM Oba Isaac Sunday Adeyeye Ajimo III on Saturday, July 1, 2023, received the Dakiz Human Development and Empowerment Initiative convener in his Palace as the community youths get enrolled at various empowerment centers.

The NGO took the initiative to the Akungba Community as part of ongoing efforts to ensure that youths are gainfully engaged. The Convener of the DHDEI, Mr. Akingbade Toluwa-Jolomi, and his team were led to the palace and introduced by Mr. Ajagun Samson Temitope who is the Secretary, Akungba Youth Forum (AYF) and also the Coordinator of Akungba Youth Empowerment.

Eight (8) beneficiaries from the community were allocated based on personal decisions to their chosen fields. Three (3) of the beneficiaries decided on learning fashion design, two (2) opted for Graphics design, two (2) chose Cake making while One (1) opted for Hairdressing skill acquisition.

Receiving the beneficiaries and appreciating the NGO, HRM Oba Isaac Sunday Adeyeye Ajimo III, the Alale of Akungba Akoko encouraged the Organization to do more as the government can’t do it all. He appraised the role of Dakiz Human Development and Empowerment Initiative and other voluntary organizations in taking the nation to an enviable height.

The Kabiesi showered his prayers on DHDEI and encouraged the beneficiaries to use the opportunity judiciously for individual and community growth.

The traditional ruler also preached peace stating that only in a peaceful society can an organization like DHDEI thrive effectively.

Other forum members present included Mr. Yusuf Taiwo Soliu (SOLITEE) and Miss Adebayo Jumoke.
