Ex- Commissioner dumps APC

George Tolofari, an strong political associate of former minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi on Monday announced his resignation from the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tolofari was a former Commissioner of Transport in Rivers when Rotimi Amaechi was the as Governor of the State

Recently, he also coordinated the emergence of Tonye Cole as the consensus governorship candidate of Rivers APC.

He however said in a short message posted online that he has decided to quit APC immediately, saying he is no longer convinced about remaining in the party.”

He thanked his erstwhile colleagues in the for their love and support, pledging that he would not take their support for granted.

“Let me thank each and everyone of you for your support and love shown me these past years while we worked together as party men and women.”

“Together we’ve been through a lot and have come out strong in most cases. I can never take your support for granted and will cherish those fond memories.”

Just like some others who resigned before him, Tolofari who hails from Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State did not State which party he may join next.

This may come as a surprise to many but regrettably I wish to inform you all personally that I’m no longer convinced remaining in the All Progressives Congress. Therefore, I have decided to quit effective immediately

Let me thank each and everyone of you for your support and love shown me these past years while we worked together as party men and women. Together we’ve been through a lot and have come out strong in most cases. I can never take your support for granted and will cherish those fond memories.

I wish you all success in the forthcoming elections in 2023.
