THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, IBA LOCAL COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT AREA, HON. YISA ABIOLA JUBRIL COMPLETE TEXT SPEECH ON THE COMMISSIONING OF THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED INTERLOCK ROAD AT GOSPEL AVENUE, ISASHI

18th, DECEMBER, 2023.

It gives me great pleasure to stand before you today for the official commissioning of the newly constructed interlock road at Gospel Avenue, Isashi.

The journey for this project started six (6) months ago and to the glory of God, we are here today for the official commissioning of the road. Just last week, we commissioned 537 meters interlocked road at Ifelodun street, Oke Afa, Kemberi.

I will like to express my gratitude to God and to everyone in the actualization of this road construction. My appreciation to those who supported the project in one way or the other, I thank you all.

I would like to reiterate that this administration has deemed it fit to focus effort towards a sustainable and rapid development of Iba Local Council Development Area.

In light of this, it has become imperative to highlight some of the completed and ongoing projects such as;

❇️ Construction of a Twin drainage and culverts at Ashiawu Apeke Street, Off Task Force Road, Okokomaiko (Ongoing).

❇️ Construction of a Twin drainage at Eleda Street, Off Challenge Road, Iba New Site (Ongoing)

❇️ Construction of Borehole at Cassidy Bustop, Okokomaiko (Completed).

❇️ Construction of a Twin drainage at Seriki Street, Kemberi (Ongoing).

❇️ Construction of PHC, Okokomaiko (Completed to be Commissioned).

❇️ Construction of Culverts at Oduduwa Street, Adolf Bustop, Iba (Completed).

❇️ Construction of Interlock road at Ifelodun Street, Kemberi (Commissioned).

Aside from developmental projects across the Local Government, we have been able to put smiles on the faces of the communities through series of Abila Food Palliatives Programmes to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal, Cash Palliatives were also given to community members, Members of staff, Widows and Aged People. The Students are not left out as many have benefitted from the Abila Bursary Awards Programme. In few days to come another set of students will also benefit from Abila Bursary Award Programme.

This administration will continue to render People oriented programmes that will impact lives positively in the coming years.

Finally, i want to thank everyone for deeming it fit to attend this Programme, without your support and contribution we would not have realized what we are commissioning today. We are in festive period, I would like to urge everyone to be law abiding and do our normal business activities in a Peaceful and lawful manner.
