Mr. Akanle said the purpose of the visit was to explore all areas of collaboration between the sister Agencies, especially in the deployment of real time Technology. “We want to be able to reduce the travel time of Lagosians through the transmission of real time traffic situations, especially where there are impediments and the best place to be at the moment for reference is obviously the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency for its pioneer work in the use of the Body Worn Camera.”
Prince Oyekan expressed delight at the visit while affirming the readiness of the LNSA to collaborate with any sister Agencies towards attaining the objective of a better, safer and more secured Lagos State. He said, “Lagosians from all walks of life enjoy Traffic Radio, especially the real-time reports of the Traffic situation across Lagos all through the day and our Agency will be glad to be part of this success story.”
“Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is keen to have a Lagos where Lagosians can sleep with their two eyes closed, where people and goods commute from outside and within the State with ease; and that’s why this collaboration is important.”
The Lagos State Traffic Radio Team was conducted through the LNSA situation room where a practical demonstration of the Wi-fi enabled Camera was put on display.
It will be recalled that the LNSA had earlier trained some reporters of the Lagos State Traffic Radio in the deployment and Management of the Body Worn Camera as part of its collaboration drive with sister Agencies.
